Dimethoate manufacturers

When sourcing Dimethoate, you must prioritize the Active Ingredient (AI) content, typically available in 98% Technical Grade (TC) or formulated as 40% Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC). Key quality parameters include acidity levels (calculated as H2SO4) which should be ≤ 0.5%, and water content, which must be strictly controlled (≤ 0.5% for TC) to prevent degradation. Ensure the product has high emulsion stability if purchasing EC formulations to guarantee uniform application in agricultural settings.

As a hazardous chemical pesticide, Dimethoate must comply with FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) specifications. Suppliers should provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch and a valid Pesticide Registration Certificate. For international trade, ensure the manufacturer adheres to ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management. Additionally, the product must be accompanied by a comprehensive Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) compliant with the GHS (Globally Harmonized System).

Dimethoate is sensitive to temperature and moisture. It should be stored in cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouses away from direct sunlight and heat sources, as high temperatures can lead to the formation of toxic impurities like Isodimethoate. Packaging must be robust; for liquids, UN-approved fluorinated HDPE bottles or iron drums with internal coatings are standard. For technical powder, fiber drums with plastic liners are preferred to prevent leakage and environmental contamination.

Request third-party inspection reports from recognized bodies like SGS or Intertek before shipment. These reports should verify the purity levels and the absence of prohibited impurities. It is also advisable to ask for field trial data or efficacy reports relevant to your target crop (e.g., cotton, cereals, or fruits) to ensure the product performs effectively against pests like aphids, thrips, and mites while meeting local Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs).

Dimethoate is subject to the Rotterdam Convention, meaning many countries require Prior Informed Consent (PIC) before importation. You must verify if your country has banned or restricted its use. Failure to provide the correct Import Permit or Pesticide License at customs can lead to seizure of goods and heavy fines. Always check the latest HS Code (typically 2930.90) regulations in your specific region.

Dimethoate is classified under UN Class 6.1 (Toxic Substances). You must use a freight forwarder experienced in Dangerous Goods (DG) handling. Shipping requires a Dangerous Goods Declaration and specific IMO/IMDG labeling. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods to avoid delays during maritime or air transit. FOB (Free On Board) is often recommended so the buyer can control the specialized logistics chain.

Pesticide prices fluctuate based on raw material costs (like phosphorus and methylamine). For large volumes, negotiate a formula-based pricing model or seek bulk discounts of 5-10% for orders exceeding 5 metric tons. To ensure transaction security, use Trade Assurance or Letter of Credit (L/C at sight). Never pay 100% upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) after quality inspection is the industry norm.

Utilize professional B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to identify Audited Suppliers who possess the necessary Export Licenses for Pesticides. Look for suppliers with the 'Diamond Member' status and check their transaction history and factory audit reports. Prioritize manufacturers located in chemical industrial parks in provinces like Jiangsu, Shandong, or Zhejiang, which are hubs for high-quality agrochemical production.
