Crankbait manufacturers

Focus on the buoyancy type (floating, suspending, or sinking) and the diving lip design, which determines the running depth. Ensure the body is made of high-impact ABS plastic for durability. For internal components, prioritize tungsten weight transfer systems that enhance casting distance and provide a distinct rattle sound to attract predators. Lastly, verify that the lures are equipped with chemically sharpened BKK or VMC treble hooks to ensure high hook-up rates.

Request a tank test video from the supplier to observe the lure's 'wiggle' or 'wobble' action. A high-quality crankbait must track straight at various retrieval speeds without veering to the side. Check for internal balance weights that prevent the lure from tumbling during casts. For deep-diving models, ensure the lip-to-body connection is reinforced to withstand high water pressure and structural impact with underwater obstacles.

Ensure all paints and coatings are lead-free and non-toxic, complying with REACH (EU) or Proposition 65 (US) regulations. The exterior should feature UV-resistant topcoats to prevent fading and holographic or electroplated finishes that resist salt-water corrosion. If you are targeting eco-conscious markets, inquire about biodegradable TPE materials or recycled plastic options.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can customize color patterns (G-finish, foil, or translucent), adjust the rattle frequency (silent vs. loud), and modify the lip shape (square bill for heavy cover or round bill for open water). Ensure the supplier can provide 3D prototypes or CNC molds before mass production to validate the custom design.

Implement a strict QC protocol where 5-10% of the batch is subjected to a water leakage test and a pull-strength test on the line eyelets and hook hangers. Use Third-Party Inspection services before the final balance payment is made. Choosing Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com significantly reduces the risk of substandard mechanical functionality.

Negotiate based on unpainted 'blank' lures versus fully finished products to understand the cost breakdown. For new designs, ask for a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 2000, and 5000 units). You can often secure a 15-20% discount by committing to a seasonal forecast or by using the supplier's standard open molds instead of requesting custom tooling.

Lures should be packed in individual blister packs or PET boxes with inserts to prevent hooks from scratching the paint during transit. For international shipping, use sea freight for bulk stock to minimize costs, but ensure the master cartons are double-walled and moisture-proofed with desiccants to prevent hook oxidation during long sea voyages.

Always conduct transactions through Secured Payment services provided by the platform. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the technical specifications, packaging requirements, and lead times. Verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualifications directly on their Made-in-China.com company profile.
