Coin display boxes manufacturers

Selecting the material depends on your target audience. For high-end collectors, prioritize solid wood (walnut or mahogany) with a piano lacquer finish and velvet lining to provide a premium feel. For mass-market retail or promotional gifts, high-transparency acrylic or PU leather offers a modern look at a lower price point. Ensure the interior materials are acid-free and PVC-free to prevent chemical reactions that could cause coin oxidation or toning over time.

Focus on airtightness and UV protection. High-quality boxes should feature magnetic closures or precision hinges to minimize air exchange. If the boxes are for long-term display, verify if the acrylic or glass has UV-filtering properties to prevent fading of the coin's luster. Additionally, check for adjustable EVA foam gaskets or multi-diameter inserts (e.g., 20mm to 40mm) to ensure the box can accommodate various coin sizes, increasing its market versatility.

For international trade, ensure the products comply with REACH or RoHS standards, particularly regarding the glues and dyes used in the lining, to ensure they are non-toxic. If the boxes are made of solid wood, they must comply with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification for sustainability and undergo fumigation treatment to meet ISPM 15 international shipping requirements to avoid customs delays.

Inspect the joint integrity (look for dovetail or miter joints in wood) and the smoothness of the hardware operation. The hinges should not squeak and should hold the lid open at a 90-degree angle without wobbling. For acrylic boxes, check for diamond-polished edges and the absence of air bubbles or glue marks at the seams. A scratch-resistant coating is a significant competitive advantage for clear display cases.

The biggest risks are breakage and moisture damage. Ensure the supplier uses 5-layer corrugated export cartons with custom-fit EPE foam inserts for each unit. Request desiccant silica gel packets in every box to prevent mold growth on wood or fogging on acrylic during long sea voyages through humid climates.

Leverage volume-based pricing by requesting a tiered quote (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). You can often negotiate a 5-10% discount by committing to a long-term supply agreement or by paying a larger upfront deposit. Always ask for OEM/ODM customization (like logo gold-stamping) to be included in the unit price for large orders to increase your brand value.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Do not release the final 70% balance until a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) has verified that the quality matches the approved sample. This prevents the risk of receiving sub-standard goods that are costly to return.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) and specific Tariff Classifications (HS Code 442090) for wooden lacquerware. Some countries have strict Lacey Act requirements (USA) or EUTR (EU) which require documented proof of the legal origin of the wood. Ensure your supplier provides a complete Certificate of Origin to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
