China robot dog manufacturers

Buyers should focus on Degrees of Freedom (DoF), typically 12 or more for fluid movement. Evaluate the payload capacity (standard models handle 3-5kg, while industrial versions exceed 20kg) and battery endurance, aiming for at least 2-4 hours of continuous operation. Ensure the robot utilizes high-torque density motors and precision planetary reducers for stability.

For autonomous navigation, prioritize units equipped with 3D LiDAR, depth cameras (RGB-D), and ultrasonic sensors for obstacle avoidance. The onboard computing platform should support ROS (Robot Operating System) or NVIDIA Jetson modules to allow for secondary development and AI algorithm integration.

To ensure legal entry and safety, the product must have CE marking for the EU or FCC certification for the US. Since these contain high-capacity lithium batteries, a UN38.3 test report and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) are mandatory for air and sea freight. For industrial applications, look for an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

Request MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) data from the supplier. High-quality robot dogs use all-metal gears and heat-dissipating aluminum alloy housings. Ask for video proof of stair climbing, slope traversal, and self-righting capabilities after a fall to validate the robustness of the motion control algorithms.

The main risks include damage during transit due to sensitive electronics and software compatibility issues. Always use specialized shock-absorbent packaging and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) where the robot is filmed performing specific commands to ensure the firmware is functional before it leaves the factory.

Focus on after-sales technical support rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts kits (extra legs, batteries, and joints) to be included in the initial bulk order. For large-scale deployments, request SDK (Software Development Kit) access and direct communication with the supplier's R&D engineering team.

Robot dogs are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods due to their batteries. You must work with a freight forwarder experienced in DG (Dangerous Goods) handling. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods to avoid customs seizures or airline rejections.

Utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Use a staged payment structure: 30% deposit, 40% after successful video testing/inspection, and the final 30% upon presentation of the Bill of Lading (B/L). This minimizes capital risk for high-ticket tech items.
