China 11kw/15hp piston air compressor manufacturers

When sourcing an 11kw (15hp) piston compressor, you must verify the Displacement (CFM/L-min) to ensure it meets your pneumatic tool requirements. For this power range, expect a displacement of approximately 60-70 CFM (1700-2000 L/min). Additionally, check the Max Working Pressure (typically 8-12.5 bar) and the Air Tank Capacity, which should ideally be 300L to 500L to prevent frequent motor cycling and overheating.

The quality of the Cylinder Head and Piston Rings is critical; look for cast iron construction rather than aluminum for heavy-duty industrial use. Ensure the motor features 100% copper winding with IP54 or IP55 protection to withstand dusty environments. High-quality Swedish steel valves are also a benchmark for durability in high-pressure reciprocating models.

For the European market, a CE Certification is mandatory, specifically covering the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). For the US market, the air tank should ideally be ASME certified. Ensure the manufacturer follows ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems to guarantee consistent assembly standards and safety testing.

Piston compressors generate significant heat. Prioritize models with large flywheels designed for high-airflow cooling and intercoolers/aftercoolers between compression stages. A well-designed cooling system allows for a higher duty cycle (typically 60-70%), preventing the carbonization of oil and extending the life of the internal gaskets.

Always arrange for a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, request a pressure leak test and a noise level decibel check. For secure transactions, use the Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com, which ensures payment is only released to the supplier after you confirm the shipping documents or receipt of goods.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for vulnerable spare parts (such as air filters, gaskets, and valve plates) to be included in the initial crate at no extra cost. If ordering multiple units, request a 5-10% volume discount or an extension of the warranty period to 18-24 months for the core pump assembly.

Due to the weight and center of gravity, ensure the supplier uses fumigated wooden crate packaging with internal steel bracing. Request that the machine be bolted to the pallet. For shipping to countries with specific voltage requirements (e.g., 110V/220V/440V), double-check the Motor Nameplate via photo before dispatch to avoid costly electrical incompatibility upon arrival.

Confirm if the supplier provides video technical support and has a clear RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process. Since returning a 15hp compressor is logistically difficult, ensure the contract specifies that replacement parts will be sent via international express (DHL/FedEx) at the supplier's expense during the warranty period if a manufacturing defect is identified.
