Brass cabinet handle manufacturers

Buyers should distinguish between solid brass and brass-plated zinc or aluminum. Solid brass offers superior corrosion resistance and a premium weight. Ensure the alloy meets H59 or H62 standards for durability. For high-end projects, verify if the product has a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating or a clear lacquer finish to prevent oxidation and tarnishing over time.

The most critical measurement is the Center-to-Center (CTC) distance between screw holes. Standard metric sizes include 96mm, 128mm, and 160mm, while US markets often use 3-inch or 4-inch spacing. Always request a technical drawing to confirm the overall length, projection (depth), and screw thread size (typically M4 for international markets or #8-32 for the US).

To ensure longevity, request a Salt Spray Test report (typically 24 to 48 hours) to verify rust resistance, especially for kitchen or bathroom use. Additionally, check for surface smoothness to ensure there are no burrs or pitting. For bulk orders, a tensile strength test on the screw holes is recommended to prevent stripping during installation.

Yes, products must comply with REACH and RoHS directives to ensure they are free from hazardous substances like lead and cadmium. For commercial projects in the US, ensure the handles meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements regarding graspability and operation.

Always request a pre-production sample and perform a 'scratch test' or check the internal weight. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure that payment is only released after the goods pass a third-party inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) that verifies the material composition.

Since brass is a commodity, prices fluctuate with LME (London Metal Exchange) copper prices. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model for long-term contracts. You can typically achieve a 15-25% discount when moving from LCL (Less than Container Load) to Full Container Load (FCL) quantities due to production efficiencies.

Brass handles are heavy and dense; ensure the supplier uses double-walled corrugated export cartons and individual poly-bagging to prevent scratches during transit. For sea freight, request desiccant silica gel packs inside the packaging to prevent moisture buildup and 'tea staining' on the brass surface.

Verify the correct HS Code (typically 8302.42) for furniture fittings to calculate duties accurately. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that may apply to specific metal products in regions like the EU or USA. Consult with a licensed customs broker to ensure all documentation, including the Certificate of Origin, is correctly filed.
