Bore hole camera manufacturers

When evaluating a bore hole camera, prioritize the waterproof rating, which should be at least IP68 to withstand high-pressure underwater environments. The camera resolution is critical; look for 1080P Full HD sensors to ensure clear visualization of cracks or blockages. Additionally, consider the cable length and material—high-tensile fiberglass or reinforced cables are necessary for deep inspections (e.g., 100m to 2000m). For deep-well applications, ensure the device features high-intensity adjustable LED lighting to illuminate dark cavities effectively.

The choice depends on your inspection requirements. A fixed camera head is cost-effective and suitable for straight-down vertical inspections where basic orientation is sufficient. However, for comprehensive geological surveys or well casing inspections, a 360-degree Pan and 180-degree Tilt (PTZ) head is essential. This allows the operator to inspect sidewalls and joints in detail, providing a full spherical view that is vital for identifying structural integrity issues.

For international trade, ensure the equipment carries CE, RoHS, and FCC certifications to guarantee electrical safety and environmental compliance. If the camera is used in mining or oil and gas sectors, it must meet Explosion-proof standards (such as ATEX or Ex-rated) to prevent ignition in hazardous atmospheres. Furthermore, verify that the pressure resistance rating matches your maximum depth requirements, typically measured in MegaPascals (MPa).

Modern procurement should focus on units equipped with Digital Video Recording (DVR) systems and SD card slots (supporting at least 64GB) for on-site data storage. Advanced models offer on-screen depth display (depth counter) and text overlay capabilities, which are crucial for accurate reporting. For enterprise-level buyers, look for systems that support HDMI output or Wi-Fi connectivity to facilitate real-time collaboration with off-site engineers.

The main risks include damage during transit and technical non-conformity. Because these are precision instruments, you must insist on specialized flight-case packaging and shock-absorbent materials. To mitigate technical risks, request a live video demonstration of the specific unit being tested in a pressurized water tank before final payment is released.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for extended warranties (24 months instead of 12) and the inclusion of critical spare parts (like O-rings, lens covers, and cable connectors) in the initial order. For bulk purchases, ask for tiered pricing where the discount increases by 5-10% once you exceed 5 or 10 units.

Bore hole cameras often contain lithium batteries, which are classified as dangerous goods. Ensure the supplier provides a UN38.3 Test Report and an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to avoid customs delays. For shipping to North America or Europe, using DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms can simplify the process, but FOB (Free On Board) is often more cost-effective if you have a reliable freight forwarder who understands HS Code 8525.89 (Television cameras, digital cameras, and video camera recorders).

Always utilize the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are received. Additionally, hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). They should specifically check the cable winch functionality, the clarity of the monitor, and the waterproof seal integrity under pressure.
