Borax anhydrous manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the purity level (typically ≥99%) and the B2O3 (Boric Oxide) content, which should be approximately 68-69%. Ensure the particle size distribution (mesh size) aligns with your specific industrial application, whether it be glass manufacturing, ceramics, or metallurgy. Additionally, verify the bulk density to optimize storage and handling logistics.

Suppliers should provide an ISO 9001 certification for quality management. For specific industries, look for REACH compliance (essential for the EU market) and a comprehensive Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. If used in specialized glass or detergents, ensure the product meets ASTM standards or relevant national industrial benchmarks.

Borax Anhydrous is chemically concentrated and contains no water of crystallization. While the unit price is higher, it offers significant savings on freight and storage because you are not paying to ship water weight. It is also preferred in processes where water evolution is undesirable, such as in high-temperature smelting or glass melting, leading to lower energy consumption.

Although anhydrous, the product is hygroscopic and will absorb moisture from the air, potentially caking. It must be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area using moisture-proof packaging (e.g., PP/PE bags with inner liners). Ensure the supplier provides a current Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) detailing handling precautions and PPE requirements.

Borax Anhydrous is generally classified as non-hazardous for transport by many maritime authorities, but you must confirm the HS Code (typically 2528.00) to determine specific import duties. When shipping from China, utilize Made-in-China.com's verified logistics partners to ensure proper container sealing and to prevent moisture ingress during long sea voyages.

Always use Trade Terms like FOB or CIF clearly defined under Incoterms 2020. To secure your funds, utilize escrow-based payment services or Letters of Credit (L/C). Before full payment, consider hiring a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a pre-shipment inspection to verify the chemical composition and net weight.

Negotiations should be based on volume-based pricing tiers; ordering in full container loads (FCL) typically reduces the price by 10-15% compared to LCL. Discuss long-term supply contracts to hedge against the volatility of raw boron ore prices. Mentioning your sourcing through Made-in-China.com can often help in identifying Audited Suppliers who are more open to competitive bidding.

Check for any anti-dumping duties that your specific country may impose on Chinese chemical products. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from any Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that might reduce or eliminate import tariffs.
