Blank mesh shorts manufacturers

Prioritize 100% Polyester mesh with a weight of 200-250 GSM for a premium, heavy-duty feel. Ensure the fabric features moisture-wicking and quick-dry technology. For the lining, a double-layer construction is essential to prevent transparency, especially for lighter colors. Check that the waistband uses high-elasticity spandex reinforced with multi-needle stitching to prevent rolling.

Since these are 'blank' shorts intended for rebranding, verify that the fabric is sublimation-ready (high polyester content) for vibrant, all-over prints. For logos, Screen Printing and Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) are standard, but ensure the supplier uses breathable inks or perforated vinyl to maintain the mesh's ventilation properties. Embroidery is also popular but requires a stable backing to prevent the mesh from puckering.

Ensure the products meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 to guarantee the absence of harmful substances. For the US market, compliance with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) is vital, particularly regarding lead content in drawstrings and aglets. For the EU, ensure adherence to REACH regulations. Always request a Colorfastness Test Report (Grade 4 or higher) to ensure dyes do not bleed during washing.

Focus on the inseam and crotch reinforcement; look for flatlock or double-stitched seams to prevent tearing during athletic use. The drawstrings should be tipped with metal or high-density plastic aglets to prevent fraying. Request a shrinkage test report, ensuring the rate is less than 3% after multiple industrial wash cycles.

Always order a pre-production sample (PPS) before authorizing mass production. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI). On platforms like Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification of their manufacturing capabilities.

Negotiate based on tiered pricing; for example, ask for the price break at 500, 1,000, and 5,000 units. If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for the first order by offering to pay a slightly higher unit price, with the agreement that the premium will be credited back on your first bulk reorder. Always clarify if the price includes custom neck labels and hangtags.

For samples or small trial orders (<100kg), use International Express (DHL/FedEx) for speed. For bulk inventory, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical, though it requires a 30-45 day lead time. Consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms if you want the supplier to handle all customs clearances and duties, reducing the administrative burden on your end.

Use Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Avoid direct wire transfers (T/T) to private accounts. Stick to a 30/70 payment structure: 30% deposit to start production and 70% balance paid after the QC inspection report is approved but before the ship leaves the port.
