Big bags manufacturers

When sourcing Big Bags, you must prioritize the Safe Working Load (SWL), which typically ranges from 500kg to 2000kg, and the Safety Factor (SF). For single-use bags, a 5:1 ratio is standard, while multi-trip bags require a 6:1 ratio. Additionally, verify the fabric weight (GSM), usually between 160g and 220g, to ensure the material can withstand the internal pressure of the contents.

Selection depends on the volatility of the environment. Type A bags have no electrostatic protection; Type B prevents brush discharges; Type C (Conductive) requires grounding to dissipate static; and Type D (Antistatic) is made from static-dissipative fabric that does not require grounding. Choosing the wrong type in a flammable environment can lead to combustion risks.

Ensure all products comply with ISO 21898:2004, which specifies materials, construction, and testing requirements for FIBCs. For food-grade applications, suppliers must hold BRC or FDA certification and produce bags in a clean-room environment. If transporting hazardous materials, the bags must meet UN Certification standards for dangerous goods.

Buyers should specify the top and bottom configurations based on their equipment. Common options include skirt tops for easy filling, filling spouts for dust control, and discharge spouts with petal closures for controlled emptying. For space-saving during transport, baffle bags (Q-bags) are recommended as they maintain a square shape and prevent bulging.

Request a UV resistance test report, as poor-quality polypropylene degrades quickly under sunlight. Before bulk shipping, utilize third-party inspection services like SGS or Intertek to perform a top lift test and stacking test. Always source from verified manufacturers on Made-in-China.com who provide transparent factory audits.

Prices are heavily influenced by the global polypropylene (PP) resin market. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model tied to raw material indices for long-term contracts. For MOQs, standard containers (20GP/40HC) offer the best freight-per-unit cost, but many suppliers on Made-in-China.com will accept smaller trial orders of 500-1000 units to establish a partnership.

Big Bags are bulky; ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty hydraulic baling presses to compress the bags, which can increase container capacity by up to 30%. Verify that the pallets used are ISPM 15 compliant (heat-treated) to avoid customs delays and ensure the container is moisture-free to prevent mold on the lifting loops.

Use Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payments are only released after the goods have passed inspection. Avoid direct wire transfers to unknown accounts and always insist on a formal Proforma Invoice (PI) that clearly states the SWL, SF, and material specifications to serve as legal recourse in case of disputes.
