Bags weed manufacturers

When sourcing packaging for herbs or tea, the most critical factor is the barrier property. You should prioritize Mylar (BOPET) material with a thickness of at least 100-120 microns (4-5 mil) per side to ensure durability and puncture resistance. A high-quality bag must feature a heavy-duty resealable zipper and a heat-sealable top to guarantee a 100% airtight and smell-proof environment. For light-sensitive contents, ensure the bags have an aluminum foil layer or a UV-blocking matte finish to prevent degradation.

Since these bags often come into direct contact with organic materials, they must be Food Grade and BPA-free. You should request FDA or EU Food Contact compliance certificates from the supplier. If you are selling in the US market, check if the bags need to be Child Resistant (CR); look for specialized push-and-pull locking zippers that meet ASTM D3475 standards to ensure legal compliance in regulated regions.

To differentiate your product, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer Digital Printing for small batches or Gravure Printing for large-scale orders (over 10,000 units) to achieve the lowest unit cost. Essential features include tear notches for easy opening, rounded corners to prevent skin scratches, and transparent windows if you want the product to be visible. Always ask for a die-line template before finalizing artwork to ensure correct bleed and margin settings.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released after you confirm receipt of goods. Before placing a bulk order, request a physical sample (even if you have to pay for shipping) to verify the actual 'smell-proof' effectiveness and print color accuracy. Additionally, check the supplier's Audit Report to confirm they are a real manufacturer and not a middleman.

While the bags themselves are legal packaging, they are bulky and lightweight. To optimize costs, compare Sea Freight (LCL) for large volumes versus Air Express (DHL/FedEx) for urgent stock. Ensure the HS Code (typically 392321 for plastic bags) is correctly declared on the commercial invoice to avoid customs delays. Be aware that some regions have strict 'paraphernalia' laws; ensure your marketing and shipping documentation clearly state the bags are for 'General Food Storage' or 'Herbal Tea Packaging' to prevent unnecessary seizures.

Suppliers usually have a high MOQ (5,000 - 10,000 pcs) for custom gravure printing due to plate-making costs. To negotiate, you can offer to pay the plate fees upfront in exchange for a lower per-unit price. If you are a startup, ask for Digital Printing options, which have much lower MOQs (as low as 500 pcs) but a higher unit cost. Always negotiate Incoterms clearly; FOB (Free On Board) is generally preferred for buyers who have their own freight forwarders, while DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is better for those who want a hassle-free door-to-door delivery.
