Azoxystrobin technical manufacturers

As a high-efficiency, broad-spectrum fungicide, the purity of Azoxystrobin Technical (TC) is the most critical factor, typically requiring a minimum of 95% to 98%. Buyers must verify the impurity profile, ensuring that relevant impurities (such as (Z)-isomer) are within the limits defined by FAO specifications. Additionally, check the physical state (usually an off-white to white crystalline powder) and moisture content (≤0.5%) to ensure stability during formulation into SC, WG, or EC products.

Suppliers must provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For cross-border trade, ensure the manufacturer complies with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). Crucially, the product should meet FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) standards. If importing into specific regions, verify REACH registration for the EU or EPA registration for the US. Always request the latest Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliant with the GHS (Globally Harmonized System).

Azoxystrobin is a methoxyacrylate (strobilurin) fungicide used primarily in agriculture to control diseases like powdery mildew, rust, and downy mildew. Its key advantage is its systemic activity and translaminar effect, providing both preventative and curative properties. It is widely used on high-value crops including cereals, vines, citrus, and vegetables. Its ability to inhibit mitochondrial respiration in fungi makes it a cornerstone for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.

The price of Azoxystrobin is heavily influenced by the cost of raw materials like 4,6-dichloropyrimidine. Buyers should monitor upstream chemical market trends in China. To optimize costs, consider bulk procurement (1,000kg+ units) which can reduce unit prices by 10-15%. Evaluate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by factoring in specialized hazardous chemical logistics and potential anti-dumping duties in your local jurisdiction.

The primary risks include quality degradation during transit and regulatory seizure. Since Azoxystrobin is a chemical product, it may be subject to stringent customs inspections. Ensure the supplier uses UN-approved packaging (typically 25kg fiber drums with PE liners) to prevent moisture ingress. Use Made-in-China.com's audited supplier reports to verify that the factory has a legitimate Pesticide Production License issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Negotiate for Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek to test purity and physical properties before the balance payment is made. Insist on a retention sample policy, where the supplier keeps a sample of the specific batch for at least two years. For long-term contracts, link payments to quality milestones and ensure the contract specifies indemnification for non-compliance with FAO standards.

Azoxystrobin TC is generally classified as Environmentally Hazardous (UN 3077, Class 9) for international transport. Ensure the freight forwarder is experienced in Dangerous Goods (DG) handling. Documentation must include the Dangerous Goods Declaration, MSDS, and Non-Doping Certificate if required. For shipping to major agricultural hubs, choose FCL (Full Container Load) to minimize contamination risks associated with LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments.

Utilize secure payment terms such as Letter of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid 100% upfront T/T payments to unknown vendors. Verify the supplier's export history and check if they have a dedicated regulatory affairs team capable of assisting with the import registration dossiers required by your country's agricultural department.
