I have found results from400+products and200+suppliers aboutAttritor mill
When sourcing an Attritor Mill, you must prioritize grinding tank capacity, motor power, and agitation speed (RPM). For high-efficiency fine grinding, ensure the inner liner is made of wear-resistant materials such as zirconia, alumina, or tungsten carbide to prevent contamination. Additionally, verify the cooling jacket efficiency to manage heat generation during continuous high-energy milling processes.
Professional buyers should demand CE certification for electrical safety and ISO 9001:2015 for manufacturing consistency. If the mill is used in hazardous environments (e.g., chemical or ink production), ensure the motor and control system are ATEX or Ex-proof (explosion-proof) certified. For pharmaceutical or food applications, the equipment must adhere to GMP standards and use FDA-approved seal materials.
Batch Attritors are more cost-effective for small-scale production and allow for precise control over residence time, making them ideal for R&D. However, for large-scale industrial operations, Continuous Attritors offer a higher Return on Investment (ROI) by reducing downtime and labor costs. Evaluate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including the replacement frequency of grinding media and energy consumption per kilogram of output.
To prevent mechanical failure, the supplier should provide a clear schedule for mechanical seal inspection and bearing lubrication. The agitation arms (sleeves) are high-wear components; ensure they are modular and easily replaceable. Ask the manufacturer for a spare parts kit including gaskets, seals, and extra arms to minimize potential production downtime.
Always utilize Third-Party Inspection (TPI) services like SGS or Intertek to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Request a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) video showing the mill running with a load. For secure transactions, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released upon proof of shipment and compliance with agreed specifications.
Attritor Mills are heavy and sensitive; negotiate for seaworthy plywood packaging (IPPC heat-treated) to prevent moisture damage and physical impact. Clarify Incoterms clearly—FOB (Free On Board) is recommended for buyers with their own logistics partners, while CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is better for those wanting the supplier to handle insurance. Ensure the contract specifies a penalty clause for late delivery exceeding 14 days.
Verify the correct HS Code (typically 8474.20) to determine accurate import duties and VAT in your country. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO), which may qualify you for preferential tariff rates under specific trade agreements. For U.S. or EU buyers, ensure all technical documentation and wiring diagrams are in English to pass customs safety audits smoothly.
