Artificial grass turf manufacturers

When evaluating artificial grass, you must focus on Pile Height, Stitch Rate, and Dtex. For landscaping, a pile height of 30mm-40mm is standard for a natural look, while sports turf requires specific heights based on the game (e.g., 50mm for football). The Dtex (linear density of the yarn) indicates the weight and durability; higher Dtex values (e.g., 8,000-12,000) signify better wear resistance. Additionally, ensure the Gauge (distance between rows) matches your density requirements, typically 3/8 inch for residential use.

Professional buyers should demand UV Stability certification (ISO 4892-3) to ensure the grass won't fade or become brittle under intense sunlight. For safety, verify that the product is Lead-Free and Heavy Metal-Free according to REACH or RoHS standards. If the turf is for indoor or public use, a Fire Retardant rating (Cfl-s1) is mandatory. Always request a Drainage Rate report, ensuring it can handle at least 60 liters per minute per square meter to prevent waterlogging.

The backing is the foundation of the turf. A Triple-Layer Backing consisting of PP cloth, Net, and SBR Latex (or PU) is recommended for maximum tuft lock strength. Polyurethane (PU) backing is superior to SBR Latex as it is non-absorbent, more flexible in cold climates, and offers better aging resistance, though it comes at a higher price point. Ensure the backing has perforated drainage holes every 10-15cm.

Usage scenarios dictate the yarn shape. 'C' or 'W' shaped fibers are ideal for high-traffic commercial areas because they offer better resilience and 'spring back' capability. For pet-friendly installations, prioritize turf with an anti-microbial additive and a highly permeable backing to manage odors. For sports applications, the turf must be compatible with infill materials like SBR granules or silica sand to provide necessary shock absorption.

The primary risk is Color Batch Variation; grass produced in different production runs may have slight shade differences. To mitigate this, ensure your entire order comes from a single dye lot. Another risk is Creasing during transit; ensure the supplier uses hard paper tubes inside the rolls and wraps them in heavy-duty PP woven bags to prevent crushing during long-term container stacking.

Focus on the Total Square Meter (SQM) price rather than just the roll price. Request a tiered pricing structure where the price drops significantly once you hit a Full Container Load (FCL), as this reduces the supplier's handling costs. Negotiate for Free Samples (shipping excluded) to verify the 'hand-feel' and color before committing. Ask if they can provide customized roll widths (e.g., 2m or 4m) to minimize wastage for your specific projects.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by the platform to ensure funds are only released after proof of shipment. For large-scale orders, consider hiring a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). They will check the pile height, stitch count, and roll length against your Proforma Invoice to ensure you receive exactly what you paid for.

Artificial grass is bulky and heavy, making Sea Freight the only viable option for bulk orders. To optimize shipping costs, calculate the Container Loading Capacity carefully; a 40HQ container typically holds about 7,000-9,000 SQM depending on pile height. Ensure the supplier provides a Packing List with roll numbers and clear labeling to facilitate smooth Customs Clearance in your destination country.
