Aluminium tray making machine manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the press capacity (tonnage), typically ranging from 63T to 80T for standard food containers. Ensure the machine features a high-precision PLC control system (such as Siemens or Delta) and an electronic feeder with a feeding error margin of ≤0.1mm. Additionally, verify the compatibility of the mold system, as a versatile machine should support multi-cavity molds to increase production efficiency.

For the European market, the machine must carry the CE Marking, ensuring it meets health, safety, and environmental protection standards. For North America, UL or CSA compliant electrical components are preferred. Furthermore, since the end product is for food contact, the machine's lubrication system should use food-grade oil to comply with FDA or EFSA regulations regarding chemical migration.

Look for a production speed of 40-80 strokes per minute. Calculate the scrap rate; advanced machines include an auto-scrap collector and baler which reduces manual labor and improves the resale value of aluminium waste. A high-efficiency machine should achieve payback within 12-18 months depending on local market demand and raw material costs.

The molds should be made of high-quality heat-treated alloy steel (Cr12MoV or D2) to ensure a lifespan of over 10 million strokes. Ensure the supplier provides customization services for different tray shapes (rectangular, circular, or multi-compartment) and offers air-cushion ejector systems to prevent tray deformation during high-speed production.

Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). You should hire a third-party agency (like SGS or Intertek) or request a live video FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) where the supplier runs the machine using your specific foil thickness. Ensure the Serial Number on the nameplate matches the one in your contract and shipping documents.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the sticker price. Negotiate for vulnerable spare parts (such as heating elements, suction cups, and sensors) to be included for free for the first 2 years. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure your payment is only released after the Bill of Lading is verified.

Specify Seaworthy Packaging (vacuum plastic wrapping plus a strong wooden case) to prevent corrosion from sea air. Confirm if the supplier provides Overseas Installation and Commissioning; in the post-pandemic era, many top-tier suppliers offer remote AR-assisted installation or have local service agents in your country to handle the mechanical setup.

Check the HS Code (typically 8462.91) for your specific country to determine import duties. Request a Certificate of Origin (Form E or Form F) from the supplier if your country has a Free Trade Agreement with China, as this can significantly reduce or exempt you from import tariffs.
