Aluminium cable lock manufacturers

When evaluating Aluminium Cable Locks, focus on the cable diameter (typically 1.5mm to 5.0mm) and the tensile strength, which determines the security level. The body should be made of high-grade anodized aluminium for corrosion resistance, while the internal locking mechanism should ideally be zinc alloy or steel for tamper resistance. Ensure the cable is multi-strand galvanized steel or stainless steel, often coated with PVC or UV-resistant plastic to prevent scratching and weathering.

For security applications, look for ISO 17712:2013 certification, especially if the locks are used as high-security seals for containers. For general retail or industrial use, ensure the materials comply with REACH and RoHS standards to guarantee the absence of hazardous substances. If the product is intended for the US market, C-TPAT compliance is a significant advantage for logistics security.

Request Salt Spray Test reports (e.g., ASTM B117) to verify the corrosion resistance of the aluminium body, especially for maritime or outdoor use. The anodized coating thickness should be checked to ensure it can withstand UV exposure without fading or peeling. Additionally, verify the operating temperature range, ensuring the lock functions reliably between -40°C and +150°C for industrial environments.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer laser engraving for serial numbers, barcodes, or company logos. You can also request custom cable lengths to suit specific applications like valve lockout or heavy machinery securing. Color coding is another vital feature, allowing for easy visual identification in inventory management or safety lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment safety. Conduct a Supplier Audit to verify if the manufacturer is a 'SGS/Intertek Audited Supplier.' Never transfer full payments upfront; instead, use a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment structure against the Bill of Lading (B/L) or after a successful Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI).

Aluminium prices fluctuate based on the global commodities market, so ask for a price validity period (e.g., 15-30 days). To lower the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), suggest using standard stock colors rather than custom pantone matches. For bulk orders exceeding 5,000 units, aim for a volume discount of 10-20% compared to the sample price.

Since cable locks are relatively heavy but compact, LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight is usually the most cost-effective for bulk orders. Ensure the packaging includes desiccant silica gel packs to prevent oxidation during long sea voyages. For urgent samples, International Express (DHL/FedEx) is preferred, but ensure the HS Code (typically 8301.10) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays.

Request a Golden Sample and perform a destructive pull test to confirm the breaking strength matches the datasheet. Ask the supplier for a video of the internal structure or a technical drawing to ensure the 'non-preformed' cable feature is present, which prevents the cable from being re-inserted once cut, a critical anti-tamper requirement.
