The most critical factor is the effective chlorine content, typically ranging from 5% to 13% for concentrated formulas. Buyers must verify the stability of the solution, as sodium hypochlorite decomposes over time; ensure the supplier provides stabilizers to maintain potency. Additionally, check the pH value, which should generally be between 10 and 12 to ensure chemical stability and efficacy.

As a chemical product, it must have a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a UN GHS (Globally Harmonized System) compliant label. For medical or high-level disinfection use, look for ISO 13485 or CE certification. If exporting to the US, EPA registration is often required, while the EU market requires compliance with the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR).

84 Disinfectant is corrosive and light-sensitive. Ensure the supplier uses high-density polyethylene (HDPE) containers that are opaque and UV-resistant. For bulk shipments, IBC tanks or reinforced plastic drums are standard. The packaging must feature vented caps to prevent pressure buildup from off-gassing, which is a critical safety requirement for long-distance sea freight.

It is widely used in hospital sanitation, food processing plants, and water treatment. Buyers should request clear dilution instructions for different surfaces (e.g., 1:100 for general surfaces vs. 1:50 for contaminated areas). Ensure the product is compatible with automated dispensing systems if being used in industrial cleaning settings.

84 Disinfectant is classified as Class 8 Corrosive Substances (UN 1791). The main risk is leakage and gas emission during transit. You must ensure the supplier is qualified to handle Dangerous Goods (DG) and provides a Dangerous Goods Declaration. Failure to declare correctly can lead to heavy fines, cargo seizure, or port rejection.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Intertek. Check their export experience specifically for liquid chemicals. Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify the chlorine concentration and packaging integrity before the balance payment is made.

Prices for sodium hypochlorite are sensitive to raw material costs (chlor-alkali industry) and shipping freight. Negotiate based on volume tiers (e.g., 20ft FCL vs. LCL) and consider long-term supply contracts to hedge against price volatility. Always ask for a breakdown of the FOB price to ensure no hidden 'hazardous handling' fees are added later.

Use Secured Payment services offered by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Avoid direct wire transfers to personal accounts. Ensure the Bill of Lading (B/L) matches the MSDS descriptions exactly to avoid customs clearance delays in the destination country.
