720 flight simulator manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the Degrees of Freedom (DOF) and rotation capabilities. A true 720-degree simulator requires dual-axis 360-degree continuous rotation (pitch and roll). Ensure the drive system uses high-torque AC servo motors rather than hydraulic systems for lower maintenance and faster response times. Additionally, verify the latency rate, which should be below 20ms to prevent motion sickness and ensure a realistic pilot training or gaming experience.

Since these are high-powered mechanical devices, CE certification is mandatory for the European market, and UL or ETL certification is required for the North American market. Ensure the equipment complies with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Safety features must include an emergency stop button, safety belts with electronic sensors, and automatic homing functions in case of power failure to prevent occupant injury.

Confirm that the hardware supports mainstream flight software such as Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020, X-Plane 11/12, or Prepar3D. The system should have a built-in SDK for custom secondary development. For visual immersion, ensure compatibility with high-end VR headsets like Pico, HTC Vive, or Valve Index, and check if the supplier provides a synchronized motion-control software that translates in-game physics into mechanical movement without lag.

A 720-degree simulator has a significant dynamic load and spatial footprint. The floor must be reinforced concrete capable of supporting at least 1000kg/m². You must allow for a safety clearance zone of at least 1.5 to 2 meters around the full rotation radius of the machine. Additionally, verify if the equipment requires a three-phase power supply (380V) or if it can operate on standard single-phase power with a transformer.

Always mandate a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). You should hire a third-party agency (like SGS or Intertek) to conduct a full-cycle motion test and load test before the balance payment is made. For secure transactions, use Escrow services or Trade Assurance via reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your funds are protected until the bill of lading is confirmed.

Focus on the warranty period for core components (motors and controllers) rather than just the unit price; aim for at least a 2-year warranty. Request free wearing parts (sensors, cables) to be included in the first shipment. For bulk orders, negotiate for remote technical support hours or the inclusion of an on-site installation engineer where the supplier covers the labor cost and you cover travel expenses.

These units are heavy and sensitive. They must be shipped in fumigated solid wooden crates with vacuum packaging to prevent sea salt corrosion. Ensure the shipping terms are CIF or DAP if you are not experienced with heavy machinery logistics. Because of the size, these often require Open Top Containers or Flat Rack Containers, which can increase freight costs by 20-40% compared to standard containers.

Before signing the contract, verify that the supplier provides 24/7 technical response or has a localized service partner. Demand a complete English-language troubleshooting manual and video installation guides. Ensure the supplier can provide remote desktop support via software like TeamViewer to calibrate the motion platform sensors if they drift after arrival.
