6 doors locker manufacturers

B2B buyers should prioritize Cold Rolled Steel (SPCC) with a thickness of at least 0.6mm to 0.8mm for standard use, or 1.0mm+ for heavy-duty industrial environments. Ensure the surface treatment uses Electrostatic Powder Coating, which provides superior anti-corrosion, scratch resistance, and environmental friendliness compared to liquid paint.

The choice depends on the end-use scenario. Key locks are cost-effective for fixed staff, while combination locks or digital electronic locks are preferred for public gyms or flexible workspaces to avoid key management issues. For high-security needs, look for padlock-ready hasps that allow users to provide their own locks, and ensure the internal locking bar system is robust enough to prevent prying.

To prevent odors and moisture buildup, lockers must feature louvers or perforated ventilation holes on each door. For healthcare or food industry applications, specify antimicrobial powder coatings that inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold. Additionally, a sloped top design is recommended to prevent dust accumulation and discourage users from placing items on top of the units.

Decide between Knock-Down (KD) structures and Fully Welded structures. KD structures significantly reduce shipping costs (up to 70% volume reduction) and are easier to transport through narrow doorways, but require clear assembly manuals or video guidance. Fully welded units offer maximum rigidity and immediate deployment but incur much higher international freight charges.

Ensure the manufacturer complies with ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental standards. For the North American market, BIFMA X5.9 standards for storage units are a benchmark for safety and durability. Verify that the coating is Lead-Free and REACH/RoHS compliant to meet strict chemical safety regulations.

Steel lockers are prone to denting. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons with expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam corner protectors and pearl cotton padding between metal panels. For LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, mandate palletization with shrink wrap to prevent mishandling during transit.

Focus on the weight of the finished product rather than just the unit price, as steel volume is the primary cost driver. Request a tiered pricing structure based on order volume (e.g., 50, 200, 500 units). You can often secure a 3-5% discount by committing to a regular purchasing forecast or by using FOB (Free On Board) terms to control your own logistics costs.

Utilize the Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. Always request a Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Bureau Veritas to verify the material thickness, color consistency, and quantity before the final balance is paid.

Due to the high weight-to-volume ratio, sea freight is the only economically viable option. For buyers in the US or Europe, ensure the supplier provides a Detailed Packing List and Commercial Invoice with the correct HS Code (typically 9403.10) to avoid customs delays. If purchasing KD (Knock-Down) units, confirm the loading capacity per 40HQ container to maximize freight efficiency.
