108 pcs socket set manufacturers

For B2B procurement, prioritize sets made from Chrome Vanadium Steel (Cr-V), which offers the best balance of strength and toughness. Ensure the sockets undergo heat treatment to reach a hardness of HRC 42-48. For impact-rated sets, Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) is preferred due to its superior shock resistance. Always verify that the surface finish is mirror-polished or satin chrome to prevent corrosion and rust.

A comprehensive 108-piece set typically includes both 1/4" and 1/2" drive sizes. Ensure the set covers a full range of metric (mm) and SAE (inches) sizes to meet diverse regional requirements. Check for the inclusion of 72-tooth ratchet handles, which allow for a smaller 5-degree swing arc, essential for working in tight spaces. Additionally, verify that the sockets feature a 6-point flank drive design to increase contact surface and prevent fastener rounding.

Suppliers should demonstrate compliance with international standards such as DIN (German Institute for Standardization) or ANSI (American National Standards Institute). Look for ISO 9001 certification for manufacturing consistency. For the European market, ensure the plastic carrying case and handle grips comply with REACH and RoHS regulations regarding hazardous substances and PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons).

The blow-molded case is a critical component of a 108-piece set. Request a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) case with reinforced metal latches rather than plastic clips, which tend to break under heavy use. Ensure the internal slots are precision-molded with size markings to keep tools secure during transit and prevent rattling, which can damage the finish.

Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency to verify the torque strength and dimensional accuracy of the sockets. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site verification of their production facilities and quality control systems. Always order a production sample to test the ratchet mechanism smoothness before committing to a bulk order.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for customized branding (OEM). Negotiate for laser-etched logos on each socket rather than simple printing for better brand longevity. Discuss tiered pricing where a 20% increase in volume could lead to a 5-10% unit cost reduction. Additionally, clarify the warranty period—top-tier suppliers often offer a lifetime warranty or a 1-2% spare parts allowance for ratchets.

A 108-piece set is heavy (typically 6-8kg per unit). To prevent damage during sea freight, insist on double-corrugated export cartons and palletization with plastic wrap. Ensure the Total Gross Weight is clearly calculated to avoid unexpected surcharges. For shipping to the US or EU, confirm the supplier provides a detailed packing list and HS Code (typically 820420) to ensure smooth customs clearance and accurate duty calculation.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always use corporate accounts verified by the platform. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) explicitly states the material grade (e.g., Cr-V) and the specific components of the 108-piece set to prevent 'specification creep' or substitution with lower-grade carbon steel.
