I have found results from3000+products and1000+suppliers about1 inch water hose
When sourcing a 1-inch water hose, the material determines durability and application. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is cost-effective and lightweight for general irrigation, while Rubber (EPDM or NBR) offers superior flexibility and resistance to extreme temperatures. For high-pressure industrial use, ensure the hose features high-tensile polyester yarn reinforcement or steel wire helix to prevent bursting and kinking.
You must distinguish between Working Pressure (WP) and Burst Pressure (BP). A professional-grade hose typically maintains a 3:1 or 4:1 safety factor (e.g., if WP is 150 PSI, BP should be at least 450-600 PSI). Ensure the supplier complies with international standards such as ISO 2398 for rubber hoses or REACH/RoHS if the hose is used in environments requiring chemical safety.
For agricultural irrigation, prioritize UV resistance and anti-algae lining to prevent degradation under sunlight. For construction or mining, focus on abrasion resistance (measured by weight loss in mg) and crush-proof capabilities. If the hose is for suction, a rigid PVC or steel spiral is mandatory to prevent collapse under vacuum pressure.
If the 1-inch hose is intended for drinking water or food processing, it must be BPA-free and certified by FDA (Food and Drug Administration) or NSF/ANSI 61 standards. The inner tube must be made of non-toxic, virgin materials to ensure no chemical leaching or odor contamination occurs during fluid transfer.
Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to verify the actual inner diameter (ID) and wall thickness, as slight deviations can lead to coupling failures. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality checks and shipping documents are verified.
Negotiate based on weight per meter rather than just unit price, as some suppliers reduce wall thickness to lower costs. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500m, 2000m, 5000m) and request that custom branding/printing (meter marks and pressure ratings) be included in the bulk price to enhance your brand's professional image.
Hoses are bulky and take up significant volume. To optimize shipping costs, request coiled packaging with PE film or palletized stacking to maximize container utilization. For 1-inch hoses, clarify the minimum bending radius to ensure they are not tightly coiled in a way that causes permanent deformation during long-term sea transit.
Verify the HS Code (typically 3917 for plastic or 4009 for rubber) to calculate accurate import duties. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO), which may qualify you for preferential tariff rates under specific trade agreements (like RCEP or bilateral FTAs) depending on your country.
