Veterinary medicine bottle manufacturers

Veterinary medicine bottles must be made from medical-grade materials such as High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polypropylene (PP), or Type I/II Borosilicate Glass. HDPE is preferred for its excellent moisture barrier properties and chemical resistance against acidic or alkaline veterinary drugs. For light-sensitive medications, ensure the bottles are opaque or amber-colored to provide UV protection, preventing the degradation of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Buyers must ensure suppliers comply with ISO 15378, which specifically governs primary packaging materials for medicinal products. Additionally, products should meet FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) or CE (European Conformity) standards for food and drug safety. For liquid medications, verify that the bottles are BPA-free and comply with USP <661> (Plastic Packaging Systems and Their Materials of Construction) to ensure no harmful substances leach into the medicine.

The design must prioritize sealing integrity and user safety. Look for bottles equipped with Child-Resistant Closures (CRC) and Tamper-Evident Bands to guarantee product authenticity and safety. For injectable drugs, the rubber stopper compatibility and aluminum crimp seal quality are vital to maintain a sterile environment. For oral liquids, integrated graduated scales or dropper inserts are essential for precise dosage control in different animal sizes.

Suppliers should provide test reports for drop resistance and top-load strength to prevent breakage during transit. Furthermore, confirm if the bottles are compatible with common sterilization methods such as Ethylene Oxide (EO) sterilization, Gamma irradiation, or Autoclaving (121°C). Heat resistance is particularly important for bottles that will be filled using hot-fill processes.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) conducted by a third-party agency. Focus on leakage tests (vacuum method) and dimensional accuracy (neck finish consistency). Utilizing platforms like Made-in-China.com allows you to select Audited Suppliers, which provides an extra layer of security by verifying the manufacturer's production capacity and quality management systems.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Discuss MOQ flexibility for customized molds and request tiered pricing (e.g., 5-10% discounts for 50,000+ units). Ensure the contract specifies packaging standards (e.g., double-layer PE bags in reinforced cartons) to prevent contamination or deformation during long-distance sea freight.

Ensure the supplier provides a detailed Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for customs clearance. Since these are medical-related items, clarify the HS Code (typically 392330 for plastic bottles) to avoid tariff misclassification. For shipping to regions with high humidity, insist on desiccant packs inside the master cartons to prevent mold growth on the packaging materials.

Use secure payment methods such as Letters of Credit (L/C) for large volumes or Escrow-based trade terms offered by reputable B2B platforms. Avoid direct wire transfers to unknown accounts. Ensure all technical specifications and defect rate tolerances (AQL levels) are clearly documented in the Proforma Invoice (PI) before making the initial deposit.
