You must ensure the product is made of 100% Food-Grade Silicone. It should be BPA-free, non-toxic, and odorless to ensure user safety during heat exposure. Request certification such as FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) or LFGB (German Food-Grade Standard) compliance, as these are the gold standards for silicone products entering international markets.
The mouth tips should feature a universal tapered design to ensure compatibility with various hose sizes. Check for ergonomic contouring for lip comfort and a smooth internal bore to prevent airflow restriction. For high-end markets, consider dual-layer designs or anti-static coatings that prevent dust and lint from sticking to the silicone surface.
High-quality silicone should have a high tear strength and the ability to withstand repeated sterilization in boiling water or dishwashers without losing shape. Ensure the surface is non-porous to prevent the absorption of flavors or bacteria. For bulk B2B orders, verify if the supplier offers individually sealed packaging to maintain hygiene standards during distribution.
Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You can request Pantone color matching, laser-engraved logos, or custom-molded shapes. Ensure the supplier uses food-safe pigments for colored silicone to prevent leaching during use.
The primary risk is material adulteration, where suppliers mix silicone with cheap fillers like PVC or plasticizers. To mitigate this, perform a 'pinch test' (pure silicone does not turn white when twisted) or request a Third-Party Inspection (TPI) such as SGS or Intertek before the final balance payment.
Silicone production is highly scalable. For orders exceeding 5,000 units, you should negotiate a volume discount of 15-25%. If you are a startup, look for suppliers offering low MOQ (e.g., 100-500 units) for 'in-stock' colors to test the market before committing to custom molds.
Since silicone mouth tips are lightweight and low-volume, Air Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is ideal for small batches, offering delivery in 3-7 days. For large bulk orders, LCL (Less than Container Load) Sea Freight is more economical. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from potential trade agreement tariff reductions.
Always use Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the material grade, lead time, and refund policy for defective goods (aim for a defect rate of <1%).
