Sequin bikini manufacturers

When sourcing sequin bikinis, prioritize base fabrics made of Nylon/Spandex (Polyamide) blends with a weight of 180-220 GSM for optimal elasticity and shape retention. Ensure the sequins are double-stitched or heat-sealed to prevent detachment. Crucially, the lining must be a soft, skin-friendly polyester or nylon knit to prevent the sequins from irritating the wearer's skin.

Verify that the sequins are saltwater and chlorine resistant to prevent tarnishing or color fading. Request Color Fastness to Water (ISO 105-E01) and Color Fastness to Sea Water (ISO 105-E02) test reports. High-quality suppliers on Made-in-China.com should provide products with a color fastness rating of Grade 4 or higher.

For the US market, products must comply with CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act), specifically regarding lead content in the sequins and dyes. For the EU, ensure adherence to REACH regulations to guarantee the absence of harmful azo dyes and phthalates. Additionally, look for OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification to ensure chemical safety for skin-contact textiles.

Focus on adjustable features such as neck and back ties or sliding triangles to accommodate a wider range of body types, which reduces return rates. For sequin styles, ensure there is a fabric binding/border at the edges of the cups and bottoms to prevent the sharp edges of the sequins from scratching the skin during movement.

Request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) focusing specifically on 'shake tests' and 'stretch tests.' A professional inspector should ensure that sequins do not fall off when the fabric is stretched to 80% of its capacity. Using Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service can help protect your payment until the quality is verified.

Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units) and inquire if the supplier can provide custom branded packaging or hangtags included in the bulk price. For long-term partnerships, negotiate a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment upon presentation of the Bill of Lading (B/L).

Since swimwear is highly seasonal, use Air Freight for initial 'market-test' batches (5-7 days) to capture early summer trends. For the main bulk inventory, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is more economical. Ensure your supplier provides a Vacuum Packaging option to reduce volume and save on shipping costs, as bikinis are lightweight but can be bulky.

Ensure the supplier has the Right to Sell the specific sequin patterns or prints. If you are providing the design, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have verified manufacturing facilities and a history of respecting international IP standards.
