I have found results from400+products and200+suppliers aboutPrimer bulb pump
When sourcing primer bulb pumps, the most critical factor is chemical resistance. You should prioritize bulbs made from Viton (FKM) or high-grade Nitrile (NBR), as these materials resist degradation from modern fuels, including ethanol-blended gasoline and diesel. Ensure the internal check valves are made of stainless steel or fuel-resistant plastics to prevent backflow and maintain priming pressure over time.
Compatibility is determined by the hose barb size, typically ranging from 6mm (1/4") to 12mm (1/2"). You must confirm the flow direction arrows are clearly embossed on the bulb body. For high-performance applications, request the maximum vacuum pressure rating and ensure the bulb can operate within a temperature range of -30°C to 130°C to prevent cracking in cold weather or softening in engine heat.
For marine applications, look for USCG (U.S. Coast Guard) or ABYC H-24 standards compliance. For general automotive or small engine use, suppliers should adhere to ISO 9001:2015 for quality management. If the product is destined for the EU, ensure the materials meet REACH and RoHS requirements to avoid hazardous substance restrictions.
Primer bulb pumps are essential for outboard motors, chainsaws, lawnmowers, and diesel fuel systems to bleed air and deliver fuel to the carburetor or injection pump. Functional requirements include rapid recovery time (the bulb should return to its original shape instantly after squeezing) and leak-proof sealing at the barb connections, often requiring double-crimped aluminum or stainless steel rings.
Request a pre-shipment aging test report. Low-quality rubber often cracks within months due to UV exposure or fuel contact. Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released after a third-party inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) confirms the material elasticity and seal integrity meet your specifications.
Focus on MOQ vs. Unit Price tiers. Since primer bulbs are low-cost items, shipping often constitutes a large portion of the cost. Negotiate for customized packaging (blister cards or polybags with barcodes) included in the unit price for orders exceeding 5,000 units. Ask for free samples to be sent via air courier before committing to a sea freight container.
While unused primer bulbs are not classified as hazardous goods, they are often bulky. To optimize shipping costs, use vacuum packaging to reduce volume. Ensure the HS Code (typically 8413.20 for hand pumps) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays. For urgent stock, LCL (Less than Container Load) via sea is more economical than air freight for these high-density rubber items.
Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone on-site factory inspections. Check their export history to your specific country to ensure they understand local customs requirements. Always use formal Proforma Invoices (PI) that clearly state the material composition (e.g., 100% NBR) and warranty period (typically 12-24 months).
