Metal gas lighter manufacturers

When evaluating metal gas lighters, prioritize zinc alloy or stainless steel casings for durability and heat resistance. Ensure the ignition mechanism (piezoelectric or flint) is rated for at least 10,000 strikes. For refillable models, verify the gas valve integrity to prevent leakage and check if the flame adjustment wheel provides a stable range without flickering.

Compliance is critical for hazardous goods. You must ensure products meet ISO 9994, which specifies safety requirements for lighters (flame height, resistance to dropping, and high temperatures). For the US market, ASTM F400 and CPSC child-resistance standards are mandatory. For the EU, look for EN 13869 compliance regarding child safety mechanisms.

To ensure long-term aesthetic appeal, request salt spray test reports to verify the corrosion resistance of electroplated or lacquered finishes. High-end lighters often use PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating, which offers superior scratch resistance compared to standard painting. Ask for a cross-cut adhesion test to ensure the finish won't peel under daily use.

Buyers should select models based on the end-user profile: Windproof jet flame lighters are ideal for outdoor and cigar markets, while soft flame lighters are preferred for pipe smokers and luxury gift sets. For industrial or kitchen use, prioritize extended nozzles and large fuel reservoirs to reduce refill frequency.

Lighters are classified as Dangerous Goods (Class 2.1). Most suppliers ship them empty (without butane gas) to simplify logistics and reduce costs. If shipping with gas, you must use a freight forwarder certified for DG handling and provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a UN38.3 or relevant dangerous goods packaging certificate.

Always use the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Before placing a bulk order, request a factory audit or a video inspection to verify the supplier's production capacity. Negotiate a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI).

Check the HS Code (typically 961320) for your specific country to determine import duties. Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) that some regions (like the EU or USA) may impose on lighters originating from specific manufacturing hubs. Ensure all commercial invoices and packing lists clearly state if the lighters are 'empty' to avoid customs delays.

Implement an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) 2.5/4.0 standard for inspections. Specifically, require the inspector to perform a leakage test by submerging a sample of filled lighters in warm water to check for bubbles, and a burn-time test to ensure the metal casing does not overheat or deform during prolonged ignition.
