Kobelco sk210 excavator manufacturers

Buyers should focus on the engine model (typically Hino), ensuring it meets regional emission standards like Tier 4 Final or Stage V. Key performance metrics include a bucket capacity of 0.8-1.2 m³, a max digging depth of approximately 6.7 meters, and an operating weight of around 21,000 - 22,000 kg. Verify the hydraulic system flow rate and the presence of Kobelco’s Geoscan monitoring system for telematics.

Request the Product Identification Number (PIN) or Serial Number to verify the manufacturing year and service history. Demand a comprehensive inspection report covering the undercarriage wear percentage, hydraulic pump pressure tests, and engine compression. For used units, ensure the hour meter reading aligns with the visible wear on the swing bearing and boom cylinders.

The excavator must adhere to ISO 12100 for machinery safety and ISO 9248 for earth-moving machinery. For the US market, EPA Tier 4 compliance is critical, while the EU requires CE Marking and Noise Emission Certification. Ensure the ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling-Object Protective Structure) certifications are clearly labeled on the cab.

The SK210 is a versatile medium-duty excavator ideal for urban construction, road building, and large-scale landscaping. Its primary advantage is fuel efficiency, often cited as having the lowest fuel consumption in its class due to the iNDr (Integrated Noise and Dust Reduction Cooling System) and advanced hydraulic modes (H-mode, S-mode, and Eco-mode).

The most significant risks include hidden mechanical defects, non-compliance with local emission laws, and shipping damage. To mitigate these, use third-party inspection services (like SGS or TÜV) before final payment and ensure the supplier provides detailed videos of the machine under load.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the sticker price. Negotiate for wear-part kits (filters, seals, teeth) to be included in the bundle. For bulk orders of multiple units, aim for a 5-10% discount or request extended powertrain warranties as a negotiation lever.

Due to its dimensions, the SK210 is typically shipped via Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) vessels for maximum safety, or Flat Rack containers if Ro-Ro is unavailable. Ensure the supplier applies anti-corrosion wax for sea transit and provides a detailed packing list for customs clearance in the destination country.
