China trans resveratrol manufacturers

When sourcing Trans Resveratrol, the most critical factor is purity, which should ideally be ≥98% or 99% as determined by HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography). You must distinguish between Trans-Resveratrol and Cis-Resveratrol, as the 'Trans' isomer is the biologically active form sought for supplements and cosmetics. Additionally, verify the source material; while it can be synthetic, most high-quality Chinese exports are derived from Polygonum cuspidatum (Giant Knotweed). Ensure the powder is off-white to white in color, as a darker hue may indicate lower purity or oxidation.

For B2B buyers, especially in the health and food sectors, the supplier must provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. Key certifications include ISO 9001 for quality management, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) for production standards, and HACCP if used in food. For the US market, ensure the facility is FDA registered, and for the EU, check for REACH compliance. If targeting specific consumer segments, look for Kosher and Halal certifications.

Trans Resveratrol is sensitive to light, heat, and oxygen, which can cause it to degrade into the inactive Cis-form. You should request stability testing data from the supplier. Professional manufacturers will provide packaging in vacuum-sealed aluminum foil bags or dark, airtight fiber drums. The standard shelf life should be 24 months when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Trans Resveratrol is a versatile raw material used primarily in Dietary Supplements (anti-aging, cardiovascular health), Cosmetics (skin whitening, antioxidant protection), and Functional Foods. In skincare, it is valued for its ability to neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation. Understanding your specific application is vital because particle size (mesh size) matters; for example, micronized powder is often preferred for better bioavailability in supplements or smoother texture in topical creams.

To ensure transaction security, always request a pre-shipment sample and have it tested by a third-party laboratory (like SGS or Eurofins). Use the Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the quality is verified. Avoid suppliers who offer prices significantly below the market average, as this often indicates the presence of heavy metals, residual solvents, or diluted purity.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; for Trans Resveratrol, price breaks usually occur at 25kg (standard drum), 100kg, and 500kg+. Negotiate for free samples for your first R&D phase, but offer to cover the express shipping costs to show serious intent. Establish a Long-term Cooperation Agreement to lock in stable pricing, as the raw material costs for Polygonum cuspidatum can fluctuate seasonally.

Since Trans Resveratrol is a white powder, it may undergo strict customs inspection. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Non-Hazardous Chemical Appraisal Report for air or sea freight. For urgent, smaller batches, FedEx or DHL are reliable, but for bulk orders, Sea Freight (FOB or CIF terms) is more economical. Ensure the outer packaging is moisture-proof and shock-resistant to prevent contamination during transit.
