Aqualite glass manufacturers

When sourcing Aqualite Glass (a popular patterned/obscure glass), you must prioritize thickness consistency (typically 3mm to 8mm) and pattern depth to ensure uniform light diffusion. For safety compliance, verify if the supplier offers tempering (toughening) services, as standard patterned glass must be heat-treated for use in doors or low-level glazing. Additionally, check the light transmission rate, which should generally be around 80-90% to maintain brightness while ensuring privacy.

For applications such as shower screens or bathroom windows, ensure the glass has high chemical resistance to prevent clouding from soap scum or hard water. Request hydrophobic coating (easy-clean) options if available. The edges must be precisely polished (flat or C-edge) to prevent stress cracks. Always ask for ISO 9001 certification from the manufacturer to guarantee that the annealing process was handled correctly, preventing spontaneous breakage.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer customization in terms of size cutting (CNC precision), drilling holes for hardware, and tinting (e.g., bronze or grey Aqualite). You should confirm the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for custom sizes, which often starts at one 20ft container for standard sheets or 100-200 square meters for pre-cut tempered pieces. Ensure the supplier can provide CAD drawing confirmation before production begins.

The biggest risk is breakage during transit due to improper loading. You must mandate the use of end-cap wooden crates or A-frame racks with shock-absorbing materials between sheets. Ensure the supplier uses fumigated solid wood to comply with international ISPM-15 standards. It is highly recommended to use CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms or purchase independent marine cargo insurance that covers 'All Risks' to protect your investment against breakage.

Glass prices fluctuate based on raw material (sand/soda ash) and energy costs. Negotiate a price validity period (e.g., 30-60 days) to avoid sudden hikes. For quality assurance, request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek. You can also leverage the Audit Reports available on Made-in-China.com to verify the factory's actual production capacity and export history before sending a deposit.

Always use secure payment methods such as Letters of Credit (L/C) for large volumes or Escrow-based trade terms provided by reputable platforms. Avoid transferring full payments to private bank accounts. Ensure all technical requirements, including tolerance levels (e.g., ±0.2mm) and fragmentation counts for tempered glass, are clearly stated in the Proforma Invoice (PI) and the formal Sales Contract to provide legal recourse in case of disputes.
